Jacoby Ellsbury

People say we look alike. I dunno.  After hearing about him all the way out in CA even, my mom says that he reminds her of me.  Sometimes I wonder what life would have been like if I had decided to play college ball, instead of college academics and pe-med.  Guess I'll never know the answer to that one.  I am really excited though to have a new favorite ball player in Jacoby.  He's not only a fantastic ball player, but he's a great human being too.

Here's an excerpt from yet another inspiring article about him appearing in today's Boston Globe:

"God gave me the ability to play baseball, but there's a reason why He gave it to me..."  --Jacoby Ellsbury in:

I think ultimately what really inspires me most is his humbleness, quiet voice, maturity of spirit, being a man of God, and desire to give something back and help people out in a meaningful way, not to mention that his upbringings and that he's half native and half white, like me!
